How to convert weight.
Weight units in everyday use usually describe mass. A kilogram contains 1,000 grams. An international avoirdupois pound is exactly 0.45359237 kilograms, and a pound contains 16 ounces. This converter uses those defined relationships, not a rounded pounds-to-kilograms shortcut.
Kilograms = pounds × 0.45359237. Pounds = kilograms ÷ 0.45359237.
